Not counting on drums what do you do for fun:

I do alot of song writing, and record producing, hang out with my family, exploring new (or new to me) art and music

Favorite Food:

Favorite Drink:

I have had no formal training. But I am I good listener, and have been influenced by many other musicians

Highlight of your career so far:

Hard for me to choose one thing. I am just extremely thankful to be able to earn a living playing, writing, and recording music

Drumming strengths:

I have been told that I do well at "playing the song" as opposed to just "keeping a beat"

Drumming means to me:

For me it is a physical outlet as much as anything. I have never really thought of myself as a "drummer's drummer." I see drumming as more of an important - but not glorified - job that someone needs to do...not that it is not fun - I love playing - especially live - but I mean when people start trying to put too much of the focus on the drums in places where the focus actually belongs on the vocals or other instruments .. that's when good songs start getting ruined

Advice for up and coming drummers:

Music can be enjoyed so much easier when you are not trying to make a living at it. So I recommend that all musicians have a "b plan" of some sort, so that the frustration of trying to be a professional musician does not end up causing them to hate music

How would you describe yourself:

Reclusive, focused, 85 pounds over weight and counting...

When I look back on my life one day, I would like to be able to say:

I was an honest, loyal and fair person, and a great husband and father
