I love going to the beach, swimming, watching movies, collecting vinyl records, making beats and riding roller coasters.

-in-n-out burgers, any grilled fish, barbeque, my wife’s red velvet cup cakes

Highlight of your career so far:

The Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony and concert honoring President Barack Obama in Oslo, Norway 2009.

Drumming strengths:

Creative interpretation, musically abstract grooves, hard swinging and a pocket that will make you dance.

Drumming means to me:

Drumming is the artistic expression of our love, joy, pain, fears desires and the non-verbal communication of everything that makes us human.

Advice for up and coming drummers:

Develop your unique personal voice and creativity. As you listen to the great drummers of now and the past, don’t be a clone, be an individual.

How would you describe yourself:

Confident, approachable, spiritual, dependable and passionate

When I look back on my life one day, I would like to be able to say:

I want to look back and say that I impacted others and I contributed music that helped change the world for the better.
