As a kid, I always wanted to play on the Tonight Show, and that ended up being my first TV appearance.
Drumming strengths:
Hard-hitting and reckless.
Drumming means to me:
I'm not very smart, so drumming is the only thing I do that doesn't require any brain power. It's all instinctual.
Advice for up and coming drummers:
Play w/as many different people/bands as you can when you're starting out. Get as much of a variety in your experiences as possible.
How would you describe yourself:
Passionate player to a fault, and a goofball on and off the stage.
When I look back on my life one day, I would like to be able to say:
According to how I initially defined what "it" meant for my career as a drummer, I can already look back and say, "I did IT." So now, I hope to look back and see that I made a positive impact in at least a few people's lives along the way, and never spun my sticks.
