Drumming means to me:

Drumming has been one of the few things I have found that I absolutely love to do. Drumming is so different from any other instrument in that it doesn't deal with notes or chords. It is the beat the tempo and the groove.

Advice for up and coming drummers:

Practice as often as possible with a click track. Don't be afraid to learn some jazz or salsa even if you play rock. The skill and independence it takes to play those styles of music will carry over into whatever it is you are doing. Also don't be afraid to practice with just a snare drum. All those paradiddle's and flamadiddle's and so on will help tremendously when playing on a kit.
