we have had three webcams during our festival. they started to go live and show fotos approx. 24hrs before the festival started.
one cam showed the main stage, the second cam was installed backstage, and the last one filmed the area in front of the main hall.

our sixth meinl drum festival is now over. everyone had a blast. it has been an amazing day and on behalf of the entire company, i would like to thank everyone who attended the festival. it was a great experience. i am speechless and overwhelmed. thanks to all artists too, who made this festival the best so far (this is what a few people who have been at all of our previous festival told me).

it's getting very busy now. one day left till the festival starts. here are some impressions what was going on today. more to come.

here are some impressions showing some of the preparations for our drum festival next saturday. more to come.

it's the calm before the storm so to speak. everyone and everything is on standby for the final preparations before the festival will actually start on june 26. this coming friday the main stage tent will already be set up. the whole next week everyone will be busy with millions of details which need to be taken care of. sound and light will move in next wednesday. i am expecting all the drums to be delivered early next week as well. chris coleman and thomas lang will arrive next thursday and will start setting up and soundchecking. its gonna be a crazy week, but very exciting and satisfying. i am so much looking forward to it already.

and within all this organized chaos, i am trying to follow the soccer worldcup in south africa. it looks very promising for us :-) we've got a great team this time. i'm actually very optimistic that we can take it very far this year.

on a totally different note: thanks to our buddy from england craig connet for sending me his new record. craig is the drummer of biritish singer sandi thom and can be heard on her brandnew album merchants and thieves. check it out. craig's drumming on that record is song very song orientated and musical. an excellent example for playing-for-the-song.

the mailman brought me a nice surprise today. he dropped off a letter from our artist jost j-fresh nickel with his brandnew cd jan delay & disko no.1 live. thanks very much jost for sending it.
i've seen this gig three times during the last year and all of them were amazing. the last one i saw has been at the rock-im-park festival in nuernberg and is only two weeks past. i'll never forget when j-fresh did his soundcheck and played a straight 16th note feel groove and right away 60,000 people started dancing along to his beat. simply amazing.
