STAYING BUSY

benny greb and me

gergo's new cd M.M.M.

gergo borlai

today's been a very productive day. i spent time with benny greb working on some new cymbal ideas which we are hoping to be able to release soon. being around and working with benny always is great fun. we're heading out now to have dinner together.

early tomorrow morning i will fly to budapest, hungary. one of our artist gergo borlai is releasing his new cd M.M.M. and i got invited to attend the record release party. not only is gergo one amazing drummer, but budapest is a beautiful city with lots of history. i am really looking forward to that trip. i will report from the road via facebook and twitter as usual. so stay tuned.

the bad news is that lufthansa pilots will be on strike starting next monday. guess when my flight back home will be and with which airline? yep! so, i hope i am not going to end up stuck in budapest for four days. i love lufthansa, but that would really bum me out. keep your fingers crossed.

    What a day. You have a great job!

    Will Gergo's new album be available in the States or on-line?

    All the best to you,

    Wow,
    I am a huge fan of Benny and can't wait to hear what the two of you come up with! Any hints? Also, I have been with zildjian for the last 10 years but after seeing Benny's dvd and hearing the byzance extra dry series I am making the switch! I am so impressed by the complexity and darkness you guys have gotten out of that series. I can't wait to play with my new setup! Thanks again and keep up the great work!!

    @xris
    not sure about whether or not it will be available in the states. you can find gergo on facebook. just ask him there.

    @andy
    we have already decided which bottom cymbal it will be. right now, benny is testing two different top cymbals. at this point i can't give any further hints :-( but soon you'll be able to find out.

    Hey guys.
    After two years waiting for the right time and the right amount of money I bought two heavy MB20 crash cymbals, an 18" and a 16". It was worth it.
    The sound was amazing and way more thew my expectations. But unfortunately after just one month of use, I noted a extensive crack near the bell area of my 18".
    Is there anything I can do to fix this?
    Thank you.
