Our Italian Meinl Artist Marco Iannetta has recently been invited to record at the Drumchannel studios. This is the set-up he was using. As you can see, there is no bassdrum. Instead of that he is using his left hand on that flat drum to imitate that sound. While keeping the groove with his hands, Marco plays all kinds of ostinato patterns with his feet on top of if. The videos will be out on drumchannel soon and I'm sure they'll be great. Marco is one of the most innovative drummers of our time. He kicks technical drumming up a notch.
The cymbals on his kit are (from left to right):
18" Byzance brilliant crash on top of a 16" Byzance brilliant china
20" Byzance extra dry china
