Pay off the debt, and start a rainy day fund. There is no high yeald account where you can save as much as you will be paiyng out on your debt. I don't know what percentages you are looking at but remember when you start you will be paiyng (X)% interest on $17,100 or getting interest of roughly 6% on around $1000 Roughly $128 Min interest lost or $5 a month to start. You end up with more spendable money by paiyng off the highest interest first, than the other, that will end up giving you a lot more to save, a minimum of $1500 extra.pp
