I´m from Germany, and this is my translation:(@ 0:30) Hi, my name is Jost Nickel, we are here on stage with Jan Delay and Disko No.1, in the beautiful Würzburg. Because Würzburg is near to a lot of good cities, the company Meinl is represented alot here. Here they try acustic bass-guitars; there, they prepare a photo-session for congas. But now I tell you why I use these Cymbals for Jan Delay. My most important pair of Cymbals is/are this 13" medium hihat, in this setup.(@ 1:00) Because it´s very important in a lot of our tracks, that there is a very crisp and clear hihat sound. I like playin other hihats too, like the 14" jazz hihat, but that wouldn´t fit this band, because it´s way to washy. Next there are two crash cymbals. First the 18" Thin crash byzance. My favourite Cymbal by Meinl. (@ 1:30) And the 19" China Crash with the holes in it. This one is very nice combined with the other one, because it adds an additional excitement thing, a bit more trash. Perfect for large accents. The 22" Stadium Ride. I like it because it has some really nice colour, sound colour, when played with the stick and a bigger bell, than for example the dark dry ride. (@ 2: 00) Then I got here, new in the setup, a 14" Trash-Hat, because I used it on one of our records, and so our Sound-Guy said to me, it should be in the setup as well. Then anouther 18" thin crash and my secret weapon, which came to play in fusion-bands, in jazz-rock, a china used as ride. Quarter notes, most of the time. (@ 2:30) In certain parts you gain some nice aggresive sound, which is perfekt for producing some exitement. So These are my Meinl cymbals. Meinl has a huge range of cymbals, which means that I use different cymbals for different bands. But for this band its just the perfect setup. --- I hope I could help you Jost fans out there ;)
