Drummers, listen to Billy Stevenson!
He says he's been told that he's good at "playing the song" rather than just keeping the beat. I would agree 100% and I would add that his sense of balance between keeping his parts interesting and playing only what makes the song sound better is pretty much unrivaled in the rock/punk genre.
Tell me his drum and cymbal work on Part I and Part III aren't freakin' delicious-sounding and perfect for the song!
Stevenson is a treat to listen to and watch: Lemonheads, ALL, DESCENDENTS, Only Crime, The Last, you name it! Thanks Bill!
