Black Sabbath. The original fathers of heavy metal. Having just released their latest album 13, which went to #1 in the US, they're back and as heavy as ever. Seriously, take it from a super Sabbath fan (me), these guys are still killer, and so is their new album.
I went to check out a Sabbath show in Phoenix, AZ on Friday, August 30 because Meinl Cymbal artist and all around good dude Tommy Clufetos is manning the drum chair for the band on their current juggernaut world tour. They say a band is only as good as their drummer, and I believe that saying to be true, because these guys were ON FIRE. I mean, they KILLED IT!
Tommy is one of the hardest working drummers I know. He approaches everything he does with laser-like intensity and focus and never takes his eyes off of the goal. It's the reason why he has had more killer gigs in one lifetime than most people could ever dream of: Ted Nugent, Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne, and now the mighty Black Sabbath.
Watch this interview and learn a little bit about what it takes to really succeed at something. Tommy is a study in how to get where you want to be. (Chris)
