Biography
Drummer, Amir Bresler was born in Rishon-Letzion, Israel on November 8th, 1989. He started his musical education at the age of 13. Amir was first exposed to jazz music at the age of 15 upon his enrollment for the Jazz program at the Thelma-Yellin National High School of the Arts in Givataim, Israel, from which he graduated with honors. As early as 17 and throughout his last year of high school, Amir began performing with some of the best jazz musicians in Israel. Immediately after his graduation, he started to take part in Musicals, Pop-Rock productions and various Concerts throughout the world. During the last 7 years Amir has been established as one of the most sought after Israeli drummers, performing in Israel and abroad at prominent local and world stage jazz festivals;Jazz a Vienne, France;Cully Jazz Festival, Switzerland;Jazz Marciac, France;Paleo Festival, Switzerland;Nice Jazz Festival, France;Jazz a Juan, Antibe, France;and many more. In 2010 Amir Joined the world renowned bass player, singer and composer Avishai Cohen, in concerts globally. Avishai Cohen is considered to be one of the most successful Jazz artists in the world today. At 2015 Amir joined DrummerWorld website, and at 2016 joined Meinl Cymbals as one of their main endorsers. Amir also performed alongside visiting musicians like Sam Yahel, Joel Fraham, Mark Turner, Kirk Lightsay, Dwayne Bruno. In addition, Amir is playing with various israeli artists Among these are;Omer Klein, Daniel Zamir, Kutiman, Gilad Hekselman, Nitai Hershkovits, Shai Maestro, Yotam Silbrestein, Amos Hoffman, Gilad Abro, to name a few.
